Recent legislative and the common law developments in the industry have placed additional responsibilities upon the real estate professionals.

The NZLS together with the REINZ have produced a best practice guide recommending real estate agents providing to potential buyers certain information in relation to titles and council requirements, which would be summed up as property information packs.

A couple of years ago the New Zealand Real Estate Agents Authority have issued practical rules setting, which is known as the Real Estate Agents Act (Professional Conduct and Client Care) Rules 2012. These rules set out minimum standard of conduct and client care for the agents and make a strong emphasis upon consumer protection and disclosure of defects.

To help real estate agents complying with the rules and the NZLS & REINZ best practice guide, Kiwi Conveyancing are offering independent professional services.
