Buying your first home involves careful planning and serious saving!
Most lenders now require a deposit of at least 20% of the amount you are borrowing. There may be some exceptions, First Home Loan Scheme with only 5% deposit offered by selected banks and other lenders, and underwritten by Kāinga Ora.
If you have been a member of KiwiSaver for at least 3 years, you may be able to make a withdrawal from your savings to put towards buying your first home.
In any event, raising enough money for a deposit could be rather difficult exercise in a situation where every penny counts.
As such, Kiwi Conveyancing offer a special deal for the first home buyers:
- We only charge $150 extra legal fees per application if KiwiSaver is involved.
- Should you engage us as your solicitors before you sign a Sale & Purchase Agreement, then at no extra charge, we will go through the Agreement and comment on it to make sure the conditions are suitable to your requirements (excluding unit titles / apartments).
